Glamp Carp Lake & Tipi Rules
Fishing and lake viewing is strictly by appointment only.
General Rules
Anglers fish at Glamp Carp entirely at their own risk. The owners accept no liability for injury, theft, or property damage.
Only booked anglers/guests are allowed on site. Unauthorised visitors will be asked to leave.
Maximum of 3 rods per tipi.
Fish only from designated platforms. Do not fish between swims.
No littering – take everything home, including cigarette ends and dog mess. Tipi guests have bins provided.
No maggots or bait inside tipis. Use the lockable storage containers provided on your swim.
Do not remove or introduce any fish – all fish are the property of Glamp Carp. CCTV is in operation, and removal is considered theft.
Due to the proximity to the water, no children under 12 are permitted.
No pets, except by permission in Lilly’s Pad (£25 charge).
Keep tipi doors closed in windy conditions.
Fishing boundaries are marked by white stakes. Leave 5ft clearance on either side.
Fish Care
Do not leave rods unattended (stay within 10m).
Use only the unhooking mats, weigh slings, and landing nets provided – no personal gear allowed.
No waders to be brought onsite (biosecurity measure).
Keep mats and slings wet when in use.
Do not stand while holding carp.
Transport fish in slings only – never carry them in your arms.
Return all fish immediately – no keepnets or sacks allowed.
Photograph fish kneeling down over a mat.
Use carp antiseptic on hook holds or lifted scales (e.g., Klin-ik).
Staff are available to help weigh/photo carp 30lb+ during daylight, and 40lb+ 24/7 (call for help).
We’ll offer waders for safe water shots.
Fish handling guidance is provided on check-in.
Tackle & Bait Rules
Only microbarbed or barbless hooks – no flattened or filed barbs.
No ronnie rigs or spinner rigs.
No keepnets, personal landing nets, or sacks.
Minimum 15lb mainline.
All leads must be ejectable – no fixed leads.
No zig rigs.
No braided mainline, leadcore, or leaders. Tubing is allowed.
Use freezer boilies only – no shelf-life boilies.
No nuts except as hookbait.
No long curved shank hooks (e.g., Fox Series 5, long shank nailers).
Korda-style lead clips OK if not too tight.
Helisafe lead drop-off system preferred for helicopter/chod rigs.
No plastic, foam, or artificial baits – pop-ups and wafters are fine.
Behaviour & Etiquette
Radios are allowed, but please keep noise to a minimum.
No drugs, swimming, or fires.
Alcohol in moderation only – no fishing under the influence.
Bait boats are allowed.
Be respectful and courteous – antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.
Engage with fellow anglers – there’s enough water for everyone.
Keep rod alarm noise minimal.
The bailiffs have full authority to remove any guest for rule violations.
Glamp Carp is not liable for loss or damage to vehicles or equipment.
Handling Carp
Use only the provided landing nets.
Always keep fish wet and supported – do not swing them onto the bank.

Carp under 30lb may be handled/photo’d by anglers.
For carp over 30lb, please call Jack at 07971 689017 for assistance.
Weigh fish using slings only – do not weigh fish in landing nets.
Roll landing nets back carefully when removing fish from the water.
